  • Workshop
Workshops are interactive sessions designed to actively engage participants and provide practical experience, skills, tools, or knowledge relevant to the field of eating disorders. Workshops should focus primarily on active participation and learning rather than didactic teaching. Workshops may include a combination of brief presentations, demonstrations, case discussions, practical exercises, role play, small-group work, facilitated discussion, or other interactive methods.

Each workshop lasts 90 minutes. At least a substantial part of the session should be devoted to active participant involvement. Didactic presentations should not exceed 30 minutes of the total 90-minute session.
Workshop abstracts should be a maximum of 300 words and include:
    • Background and rationale
    • Aims and learning objectives for participants
    • Target audience, including any recommended level of experience or prior knowledge
    • A clear description of the interactive methods and activities that will be used
    • A session plan, including an approximate breakdown of activities and timings
    • The skills, knowledge, or practical insights participants can expect to gain
    • The relevance and potential application of the workshop to research, clinical practice, service delivery, or other areas within the eating disorders field

Proposals should clearly demonstrate how participants will be actively involved throughout the session. Workshops consisting predominantly of lectures or presentations are not suitable for this format.
  • Short paper
Short papers provide an opportunity to present and discuss research relevant to the field of eating disorders. Short paper sessions are designed to share key findings and ideas in a concise format and to encourage discussion and exchange among presenters and participants.

Each short paper session will consist of several individual presentations grouped around a related theme. Each presenter will be allocated approximately 10 minutes for their presentation, followed by 5 minutes for questions and discussion.

Short paper abstracts should not exceed 250 words and provide a clear and concise overview of the work to be presented and should include:
    • Background and rationale
    • Aims or objectives
    • Methods or approach
    • Key findings
    • Conclusions and implications for research, clinical practice, policy, or future work
Where the work submitted is still in progress, authors should clearly describe the anticipated contribution, relevance, and expected outcomes of the work.
Presentations should be accessible to an interdisciplinary audience and should focus on the key messages and their relevance to the eating disorders field.
  • Poster
Poster presentations provide an opportunity to present and discuss research, clinical practice, innovative approaches, case studies, or work in progress relevant to the field of eating disorders. Posters should communicate the key elements of the work in a clear, concise, and visually accessible format and encourage discussion and exchange with other participants.

Poster abstracts should not exceed 250 words and provide a clear and concise overview of the work to be presented and should include:
    • Background and rationale
    • Aims or objectives
    • Methods or approach
    • Key findings
    • Conclusions and implications for research, clinical practice, policy, or future work

Where the work submitted is still in progress, authors should clearly describe the anticipated contribution, relevance, and expected outcomes of the work.
All submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee. At the abstract submission stage, authors are not required to submit the poster itself. Authors whose abstracts are accepted for poster presentation will be invited to prepare and submit their final poster after the review process. Further information regarding poster format, dimensions, and submission deadlines will be provided upon acceptance.

Accepted posters will be displayed during the conference. Presenters are expected to be available during the designated poster session to briefly introduce their work, answer questions, and discuss their findings with participants. Posters should be accessible to an interdisciplinary audience and focus on the key messages and their relevance to the eating disorders field.
